We provide the air cover necessary for our clients to focus on innovation and usher their efforts into pre-qualified opportunities.

Customized

Not all situations are built the same. We recognize that for the services we provide to be valuable, they must responsive to the needs of each business when they are ready and able to receive them.

Virtualized

Our team members and partners work from locations around the country and globe – which allows us to deploy expertise wherever and whenever it is required.

Collaborative

Our support evolves as our relationships mature. We assume certain tasks at the start, provide guidance as clients begin to integrate new skills into their operations, and as they assume full ownership we stand back and lend a hand when necessary.

We curate and shape opportunities for our strategic and investment partners that are more profitable and less prone to failure.

Engaged

The end customer helps us identify their most critical needs even before we begin the identification of innovative solutions. This process establishes immediate pathways to purchase long before any action or investment.

Optimized

Decades of industry insights and an extensive network of partners and customers create optimized, data-driven decisions that shape stable investments ready for market consumption.

Connected

Success relies on a combination of what and who you know. Our team has decades of operational knowledge and a rich network of contacts to guide success.

Why National Security?
Our mission is to help stabilize, improve and protect everything from manufacturing and financial markets to defensive capabilities. National Security is often confused or singled out as military and intelligence work, but it has far wider implications. National security is how we keep the lights on and kids go in school. It is how we ensure the integrity of our elections and security of our borders. We live in a time when big threats can be the handiwork of small actors – no longer does an adversary need to invest the bulk of their GDP to affect our safety. The world has changed and Titan is altering how we approach those changes for the betterment of our way of life.
Do you work with any investor?
Actually no. Our investment partners take what is known as patient or long-term capital positions – they do not expect immediate returns on their investment. Some investors do not like that type of speculation and that is their right. Others have never considered long-term investment as a part ot their portiolio but are interested in our mission and are attracted to how we derisk these investments. Engagement with us permits any investor to take on additional portfolio diversity without the same risks as a typical seed or angel investor. There can be other factors that can impact our ability to work together. These have to do with federal contracting restrictions that are better discussed individually.
What types of investment are available?
Our model is a little different because we operate like an investment marketplace. Generally speaking our investment partners pay us a fee to gain access to our portfolio. Titan takes on all of the early risks using our own capital and these pooled fees. We do this to ensure that by the time our investment partners are provided opportunities to invest they have already been setup for success and are truly ready for more significant funding.
Are there minimum investments?
There are no individual investment minimums at this time. However, we do set typical minimum targets to be raised during an investment cycles.
Do you have different types of investment partners?
Yes. Because of our work we have access to a number of large institutional investors. These are large scale companies, banks and VC firms that generally do a lot of work in the National Security space and are very helpful in major integrations and development needs. Sometimes these partners want to directly participate in client growth. This is particularly true when large-scale growth is required. However, our model does not generally allow Institutional investors to compete with Highly-Qualified Individual or Family Office investors – these have access to our portfolio at earlier stages when the returns are higher.
What other types of partners work with Titan?
Our network contains some of the most respected organizations in the world, it is large and continues to grow daily. We have three types of partners. From customers and ex-customers who provide guidance and a direct path to purchase, investment partners to help fund and expose potential solutions within their own areas of expertise and strategic partnerships that help develop and guide clients through the evolution of their innovations all the way into deployment across both government and commercial markets.
What is a key contributor to Titan’s success?
It’s two-fold really, our ability to open up new markets for emerging technologies coupled with specialized vehicles and teaming structures that allow us to more readily enter into non-contestable single-source contracts with government customers.
How can I find out more?
The easiest way is to contact our offices, either call our main number and ask for a member of our Engagement Team or fill out our contact form. We want to know you as much as you need to know us.
What types of solutions do you want?
To properly define National Security beyond simply military and intelligence work, we frame our interests using the needs of the 16 Critical Infrastructure Sectors defined by CISA. We work directly with customers in these sectors to identify their needs – often before we identify solutions that can fulfill these needs. As a result, our portfolio can include solutions that range from cybersecurity to artificial intelligence and even basic cost savings tools that help make better use of our tax dollars.
Do you work with any small business?
We try to, but sometimes it isn’t possible. To support the diverse needs of National Security we are interested in all ideas, but sometimes our experts and leadership have to pass. However, that may not be the end of the road for your idea or our engagement. We might bring in a partner to pursue a different path with you or ask you come back after some additional legwork. There can also be other factors that impact our ability to work together. These have to do with federal contracting restrictions that are better discussed individually.
What do you do for my business?
That is ultimately dependent upon what your business needs. Over decades of government and commercial careers, our founders witnessed many great ideas simply die and fade away. To combat the shortcomings that created these experiences, Titan provides a variety of services to “fill in the gaps” – some of our services are optional and some are not. The reality is that our mission is three-fold. First, assess the innovation and the small business for validity and strength. Second, help identify what is required to be successful and third, keep focused. We provide everything from leadership coaching to marketing, business development, product management, manufacturing and logistical support. If your needs are so unique and we don’t already have the experts we find them.
How do we work together?
We, and our partners, are first and foremost about building a relationship with you – where and how you need to be engaged. It is a one-to-one process. Virtually every small business lacks the majority of skills and resources necessary to be successful. Even with highly educated and experienced leaders at the helm they can and often are overwhelmed. You are not alone. Our job is to see your brilliant idea for what you think it is and for what it really is in the eyes of the market, but more critically what your idea could be.
How is this different from other investors?
First, Titan does invest money for an equity position so in that way maybe we aren’t that different. However, we also invest resources to provide a more stable and reliable path for success. Strictly speaking Titan isn’t a traditional venture investor – we are a combination of different skills, expertise and networks that are put in service of your needs. We also combine a lot of the best elements of accelerators, incubators and venture studios. You become part of a community of solutions that allow your solutions and expertise to find new homes and uses perhaps even beyond where you initially envisioned.
What is the minimal amount of revenue you require before you work with my company?
$0. If you have sales revenue that is great, but in reality we do not require existing sales. We specialize in working with seed and early-stage businesses in emerging markets. Frankly, we lean to the bleeding edge innovations that can be extremely difficult to develop and market. Which means that we don’t have unrealistic expectations that you are profitable when we meet. Our job is to responsibly accelerate your company with the skills and resources that allow us to all succeed.
Do I need a prototype?
No. We have worked with startups that just had an idea to already in production. If you have a prototype that is great – it certainly helps frame how your solution can be used, but it is not a requirement.
What does Titan receive in return?
It can vary in each situation, but we generally assume an equity position in our clients’ companies. We become true partners in operations, victories and (when they happen) failures too, but we hate failing. Our team takes success seriously and we take anything shy of that very personally.
